Summary

We are setting up a partition with a door to separate the makerspace facilities from the co-working cabin. The partition will have a door and this project is to add a digital lock to that door with an arduino controlling an RFID reader. Members will then get an RFID key to enter the facilities.

Status

  • 25-May-2017 Looked up technical requirements for the project and ordered equipment for it. The basic idea will be to control an Electric Strike lock via a relay using an arduino. The control will be based on input to an MFRC522 RFID reader from a set of RFID keys.
